Ananda Chandra Agarwala
Ananda Chandra Agarwala (1874-1940) was an Assamese poet, writer, historian and translator from Sonitpur district of Assam. He is widely known as Bhangoni Kunwor.
Biography:
Ananda Chandra Agarwala was born on 1874. He translated several English poems into Assamese. That’s why he is popularly known as “Bhangoni Konwar” (prince of translation) in Assamese literary world. Ananda Chandra Agarwala was the president of the Asam Sahitya Sabha in 1934 annual session held at Mangaldoi. He was honoured with the Raibahadur title by the British Government.
Ananda Chandra Agarwala passed away in 1940.
