Chakrashila Wildlife Sanctuary, Assam
The Chakrashila Wildlife Sanctuary was declared as a sanctuary on 14th July, 1994. It is famous for Golden Langur, which was spotted first in this sanctuary, in the year 1986. Chakrasila is situated in the Dhubri district of Assam. The total area covered by this sanctuary is 45.5 sq. km. Other attractions of this sanctuary are Tiger, Hornbill, Monkeys and various species of birds and reptiles. The distance of this sanctuary from Dhubri town is about 68 km.
