Rang Ghar of Sibsagar
The royal building was constructed during the reign of Swargadeo Pramatta Singha in 1746. It is located in the west of Sibsagar town, by the side of the Assam Trunk (AT) road. It’s location is north east to the Kareng Ghar – the Ahom Royal Palace. On the roof of the Rang Ghar is a design of a Ahom royal long boat.
Rang Ghar is one of the important tourist attractions in Assam. It attracts thousands of tourists from around the world every year. The Rang Ghar was the logo of the recently concluded 33rd National Games that was held from 9th to 18th February, 2007 in Guwahati, Assam.
