Questionable or doubtful! According to study materials of some Delhi coaching centres: Harmattan and Sirocco are both hot and dry winds. Sirocco covers North Africa, Italy, Sicily etc. Harmattan covers West Africa, Nigera, Ghana etc. And both carries dust. According to TMGH General Studies For Civil Services: Sirocco is a hot dust laden wind that blows eastwards from Sahara across the Mediterranean and raises the temp of the areas. Harmattan is a relatively cool dry wind blowing over Sahara in winter season. According to Pearsons General Studies Manual: Sirocco is a hot moist wind that blows from Sahara. Sometimes Sirocco carries Sahara dust. Harmattan is a cool, extremely dry wind that forms over Sahara. It is relatively cool because Sahara is cool during the dry season from December to Feb.
According to NASA: Winter and spring dust storms are common in Western Africa when the sirocco winds, hot, dry, dust-laden winds, blow north and northwest out of the Sahara desert. Harmattan is a strong trade wind which arises in Sahara and blows south across West Africa in the winter (November to March). Heavy dust storms are common in the region during this time.

The answer keys published by APSC contains error. For each question, compare the answer mentioned in different answer keys. We spotted some mistakes in GS paper and some optional papers.

For Qno 61: The answer should be d)economic affairs…i think …as they are asking for department..not Ministry. ( Though I answered A) :(
@admn, ques.no 61 answer is (d) economic affairs.
Department of economic affairs is responsible for the preparation and presentation of the union budget to the parliament.
Ques.no 67 ans is option (a) sovereignty of the parliament. Not (c).

Your are right about the important income source. This question was taken from UPSC papers. Otherwise they would have asked about the largest source of income, wouldn’t they? Thank you for pointing out the mistakes.
Kushal Konwar is the first and only Martyr to be HANGED during Quit India. I confused it with 1st Martyr(Kanaklata). My Bad. Thanks for your explanation.
But I do not agree to the most important source of income, because the question is not about the LARGEST source but the most IMPORTANT. Had it been the largest source, Corporate Tax would come first. Excise duty is most important because it helps in price control, supply of essential commodities, promotion of small scale industries etc.
If hypothetically speaking, sometime in near future the income tax increases to 90% and excise duty reduced to 1%, it would imply income tax as still more higher source of revenue, but excise duty would even then be most important.

Q45 : B) Answer is NE… becoz SE becomes North means it moves 135 degrees(anticlocwise), Similarly NE becomes West => So South becomes NE.
