APSC Combined Competitive (Main) Exam 2016 Results
The long awaited result of Assam Civil Service Exam 2016 or Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) Combined Competitive (CCE) Main examination 2016 has been declared. A total of 430 candidates were selected for the viva round, which will be held in the months of October and November. About APSC CCE 2016:
The advertisement for APSC CCE 2016 was released on December 30, 2016. There are a total of 205 vacancies. More precisely, 95 posts in Assam Civil Service (ACS), 60 posts in Assam Land & Revenue Service, 3 posts in Assam Police Service, 3 posts of Labour Officer, 2 posts of Superintendent of Taxes, 5 posts of Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, 7 posts of Inspector of Labour, 8 posts of Inspector of Taxes, 12 posts of Inspector of Excise and 10 posts of Assistant Employment Officer.
The prelims of APSC CCE 2016 was held on July 2, 2017. From APSC 2016 Prelims, a total of 2399 candidates were selected for the mains round. The written mains examination was conducted between February 06, 2018 and March 25, 2018. And finally they declared the results of Mains 2016 on September 28, 2016. So, it took them six (6) months to declare the results of APSC Mains 2016.
Interviews will be conducted between October 22, 2018 and November 10, 2018. Those who have cleared the mains will be able to download their interview call letters from the official APSC website (apsc.nic.in). Call letters will be uploaded on October 15, 2018.
Update:
There is a duplicate in the official result. Roll no. 092701618 appeared twice. Really, APSC? Doesn’t that mean that another deserving candidate was deprived of his/her chance to appear in interview? Mistakes are a part of human beings. But that doesn’t mean we should allow mistakes in serious cases like exam results. APSC must give a proper explanation.
APSC has announced a correction to yesterday’s result. There was a duplicate roll number because 092701617 was left out and number 092701618 appeared twice. Thus, roll number 092701617 is now declared eligible for interview.
