Other rivers listed above flows directly southwards from their origin.

Before entering India, Brahmaputra takes a U turn in Nyangtri of Tibet. In that place the great Himalaya mountain system takes its syntaxial bend and turns southwards. As a result the river takes a 180 degree U turn and enters India through Upper Siang of Arunachal Pradesh. So, that Great Bend of Brahmaputra is a result of syntaxial band of eastern Himalayas.

Example: handloom, handicraft, sericulture etc. Cottage industries are small manufacturing units, in which goods are produced at home or cottage of the producers by using local raw materials, simple tools and family/part-time labour. Example: sewing, spinning, pottery etc. High-tech industries use advanced methods, modern equipments and highly skilled workers to produce advanced or scientifically complex products. Example: consumer electronics, semiconductors, computer and peripherals etc.
