Gauhati High Court is inviting applications for direct recruitment in Grade III Assam Judicial Service. Following are the details of this assam job.
Total Vacancies:
There are a total of 42 (fourty two) vacancies. However, the actual vacancy may vary depending on the availability of infrastructure.
Eligibility Criteria:
A Degree in Law from a recognized University in India.
Age limit is 38 years for General/OBC/MOBC candidates. Age limit is relaxed upto 43 years for SC/ST candidates.
Recruitment Process:
The recruitment process shall involve a preliminary screen test, a main written examination and finally a interview/viva-voce stage.
Preliminary examination shall consist of one paper of objective type. Prelims paper will cover General knowledge, Aptitude, English, Constitution of India, Code of Criminal Procedure, Code of Civil Procedure, Transfer of Property Act, Indian Contract Act, Indian Evidence Act, Indian Penal Code, Law of Torts and Proficiency in Official Languages of Assam. Main examination shall be conducted with five papers viz. English, General Knowledge, Law Paper I, Law Paper II, Proficiency in Official Language.
